News and events:
DCO events
Defence Community Organisation hosts a variety of events in support of Defence families. Find out about events and activities on offer in your area on the DCO website under Events and Your Community. Events and activities in remote locations can be coordinated by DCO Townsville and Cairns pending interest from families in the respective locations. To find out about events for ADF families in Townsville or Cairns, visit their Eventbrite pages. You'll be able to RSVP, add events to your calendar and share with friends.
Mount Isa
The Mount Isa Council provides information – pet registration, community information and upcoming events calendar, comprehensive list of sporting clubs, library, waste management etc. www.mountisa.qld.gov.au
Weipa

Thursday Island

Public transport is not available in Mount Isa, Weipa or Thursday Island.
